A light heavyweight bout appears to be in the works for the fight night event on August 22 as Mike Rodriguez and Marcin Prachnio will clash at the upcoming event.
Since making his UFC debut in 2018, Rodriguez has only garnered one win in the promotion thus far. A Dana White’s Contender Series alumni, Rodriguez impressed with his TKO win over Adam Milstead; however, his losses to Devin Clark (via unanimous decision at UFC 223) and Da Un Jung (via KO at UFC Fight Night 165) have kept him out of the top 15 rankings. Still, Rodriguez has a solid professional record of 10 wins and 4 losses.
Prachnio remains winless in his UFC run thus far as the light heavyweight’s eight-fight winning streak was instantly snapped thanks to a KO loss to Sam Alvey at UFC on Fox 28. That crushing defeat was followed up with a TKO loss to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night 136. Despite the recent string of losses, Pranchnio still holds a solid record of 13 wins and 4 losses.
The upcoming fight night show on August 22 will take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. There’s no word on the placement of the light heavyweight bout between Rodriguez and Prachnio yet.
