Congratulations to Matt Serra and Art Davie, as both men have been announced as the first two members of the 2018 Hall of fame class.

Serra started at the age of 18 as a brazilian jiu-jitsu artist; he won first place at the Brazilian jiu-jitsu Pan American games in 1999 and won third place at the 1999 World Championships in Brazil in the brown belt division.

Since then, Serra went on Season 4 of the Ulitmate Fighter and won the Welterweight Tournament for that season. He eventually won the UFC Welterweight championship, defeating Georges St-Pierre via TKO back in 2007. Serra retired from MMA back in 2013. He will be inducted into the Pioneer wing.

Art Davie is a creator and co-founder of the UFC, he will be inducted into the Contributor wing.

The ceremony takes place July 5 from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
