Caio Borralho suffered his first loss within the UFC.

Going in, there was a lot riding in this top middleweight fight. Both Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho came in with strong win records, but only one man can challenge for the UFC Middleweight title. That man clearly emerged on Saturday as Nassourdine Imavov mostly dominated in his fight against Caio Borralho.

Imavov came out on top in the punch exchanges and masterfully defended himself from Borralho’s takedown attempts. Imavov applied pressure to the middleweight the minute the bell rung and Caio just didn’t have an answer for Imavov’s excellent gameplan.

"I. Am. Next," Imavov said post-fight.

"Absolutely, no hesitation whatsoever — I'm next. It's been 10 years that [Borralho] was unbeaten and I've beaten him, and I've beaten him with style as well. Definitely, I need to be the next one."

It didn’t go any better for Mauricio Ruffy in the co-main event as he was essentially outclassed by Benoit Saint Denis as well. Denis took Ruffy down to the ground with ease and had him mounted on numerous occasions. He finally got the rear naked choke early in the second round.
