Frankie Edgar edged out a huge victory over Pedro Munhoz in an excellent encounter between the two bantamweights. The former UFC Lightweight Champion made his debut in the 135-pound division this past Saturday and impressed many when he went toe-to-toe with top contender Pedro Munhoz.
The five-round thriller was an excellent showing for both men that could’ve went either way, but Edgar managed to squeeze out the win via split decision. This put Edgar back into the win column and could surely put the the 38-year-old in the top five rankings since he beat the No. 5 ranked talent in the division.
In the co-main event, Mike Rodriguez made quick work of Marcin Prachino with a first-round knockout thanks to elbows and punches. Originally, Ovince Saint Preux vs. Alonzo Menifield was set to co-main event the fight night show; however, Preux tested positive for COVID-19, thus the fight was pulled from the card last minute.
