A welterweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker line-up as Ramiz Brahimaj will take on Takashi Sato.
Brahimaj will be making his UFC debut here as the welterweight has mainly competed in Legacy Fighting Alliance and Back Alley Promotions. Brahimaj has managed to win three out of his last five fights, dropping Carlos Martinez (via submission at LFA 62), William Macario (via technical submission at LFA 47), and Bilal Williams (via submission at LFA 33). The 27-year-old hasn’t lost a bout in two years, with Brahimaji’s professional record currently standing at 8 wins and 2 losses.
Since making his debut in early 2019, Sato has only gotten one win under the UFC banner thus far by beating Ben Saunders at UFC Fight Night 150. The welterweight failed to get a win over Belal Muhammad at UFC 242. Before making the transition over to the UFC, Sato competed in Pancrase, Grandslam MMA, and Tribe Tokyo Fight. His professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 3 losses.
