A new lightweight bout has been confirmed for the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Jung event as Renato Moicano faces Magomed Mustafaev.

Moicano snapped a two-fight losing streak at UFC Fight Night 170 by beating Damir Hadžović via submission. The lightweight has dropped big names such as Jeremy Stephens, Calvin Kattar, and Cub Swanson during his UFC tenure thus far; however, his losses to Jose Aldo, Chan Sung Jung, and Brian Ortega have kept him out of the top 15 rankings. Moicano’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest.

Mustafaev is looking to get back into the win column after failing to defeat Brad Riddell at UFC Fight Night 168. Since Kevin Lee broke his 13-fight winning streak at UFC Fight Night 99, the lightweight has seen mixed results as his only victory was against Rafael Fiziev at UFC Fight Night 149. Mustafaev’s professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 3 losses.

UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Jung is set for Saturday, October 17 with the two featherweights headlining. The placement of the lightweight bout is currently unknown.
