This time, the focus on the latest UFC debut is on former middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping.
Also one of the top tier fighters to step inside an octagon, Bisping is known for his trash talking; however, “The Count” is a man that can back up his cockiness inside the ring. Bisping won the Ultimate Fighter 3 and climbed the ranks of the middleweight division within a couple of years.
While the former UFC Middleweight Champion suffered setbacks that would derail his career, Bisping’s unanimous decision win over C.B. Dollaway at UFC 186 set him in motion to challenge for the prestigious belt. Following impressive victories over Thales Leites (via split decision at UFC Fight Night 72) and Anderson Silva (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 84), the 41-year-old would finally win the big one by defeating Luke Rockhold via knockout at UFC 199.
Bisping would go on to successfully defend his belt against Dan Henderson at UFC 204; however, the England native dropped the belt to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217. Following his quick first-round loss to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 122, Bisping would hang up the gloves for good due to injury.
The cocky middleweight has surely delivered some unforgettable fights and moments throughout his career; however, before the rise of Michael Bisping, check out his official debut against Josh Haynes in the Ultimate Fighter season 3 finale:
