Check out the first encounter between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway at UFC 245.

Both men are set to meet again for the UFC Featherweight title at UFC 251 on July 11. Coming into their first championship bout, Holloway was on a massive roll that saw the 29-year-old on a 14-fight winning streak when it comes to bouts at 145-pounds.

Holloway has beaten Anthony Pettis (via TKO at UFC 206), José Aldo (via TKO at UFC 212 and UFC 218), Brian Ortega (via TKO at UFC 231), and Frankie Edgar (via unanimous decision at UFC 240) along the way and the former UFC Featherweight champion entered the bout with a professional record of 21 wins and 4 losses.

Volkanovski came into the bout strong as well as the featherweight was in the midst of a 17-fight winning streak with his biggest victories being against Chad Mendes (via TKO at UFC 232) and José Aldo (via unanimous decision at UFC 237). His professional record going in was 20 wins and 1 loss.

Volkanovski managed to outstrike Holloway in the five-round fight, which resulted in the 31-year-old winning the prestigious belt on December 14. Check out their first championship fight below:
