In a middleweight bout, Markus Perez vs. Rodolfo Vieira has officially been added to the upcoming fight night event that takes place Oct. 10. The news was reported by both MMA Junkie and MMA Fighting; however, the match-up hasn’t been announced publicly yet.

Perez is looking to bounce back after losing to Wellington Turman at UFC Fight Night 164. The middleweight’s record in his last five fights is a mixed bag, with Perez only scoring wins over Anthony Hernandez (via technical submission at UFC Fight Night 144) and James Bochnovic (via submission at UFC 224). Perez’s additional losses to Eryk Anders and Andrew Sanchez have kept him out of the top 15 rankings. His professional record currently stands at 12 wins and 3 losses.

Vieira has remained strong since making the transition over to the UFC in 2019 as the middleweight has picked up wins over Oskar Piechota (via submission at UFC Fight Night 156) and Saparbek Safarov (via submission at UFC 248). The Brazilian also made a name for himself in Absolute Championship Akhmat and Shooto Brazil. Vieira’s professional record currently stands at 7 wins and 0 losses.

The yet to be announced UFC Fight Night card will take place on Saturday, October 10, with a location and main event set to be confirmed very soon. The placement of the middleweight fight is currently unknown.
