A flyweight bout has been set for the UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo show as Ryan Benoit will take on Tyson Nam.
Benoit is looking to get momentum going again after failing to beat Alateng Heili at UFC Fight Night 165. The flyweight has had more misses than hits in his last five fights by also suffering losses to Brandon Moreno (via split decision at The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions Finale) and Ben Nguyen (via submission at UFC 193). His last win was against Ashkan Mokhtarian on November 19, 2017. Benoit’s professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 6 losses.
Nam is still hoping to get his first win within the UFC after suffering two consecutive losses to Sergio Pettis (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 159) and Kai Kara-France (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 168). Prior to his UFC debut, the flyweight made his name down in X-1 World Events, Destiny MMA, and Fight Nights Global. Nam’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 11 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo is set for Saturday, June 13 with a location set to be announced very soon.
