Sam Alvey vs. Mauricio Rua is no more.

The Wisconsin native was scheduled to fight the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo; however, Alvey withdrew from the bout. At the moment, there’s no reason given on why Alvey pulled out of his fight.

Rua is expected to remain on the fight night card, as officials are searching for a replacement for the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, November 16 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Jan Blachowicz and Ronaldo Souza headlining.
