Sean O’Malley is set to fight against Eddie Wineland at UFC 250 next month.
O’Malley made a successful return at UFC 248 this past March as the bantamweight beat José Alberto Quiñónez in a first-round TKO. Since making a name for himself on Dana White’s Contender Series, the Montana native has continued to impress with victories over Terrion Ware (via unanimous decision at The Ultimate Fighter: A New World Champion Finale) and Andre Soukhamthath (via unanimous decision at UFC 222). His professional record currently stands at 11 wins and no losses.
Wineland is coming off a victory over Grigory Popov at UFC 238; however, the bantamweight suffered two devastating losses to Alejandro Pérez (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 133) and John Dodson (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 108) that has pushed him back in the rankings. Wineland’s professional record currently stands at 24 wins, 13 losses, and 1 no contest.
