Due to visa issues, Kyle Nelson will no longer compete this Saturday at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker, thus Sean Woodson will now fight Julian Erosa.
Coming off of Dana White’s Contender Series, Woodson made an impact in his official debut by beating Kyle Bochniak at UFC on ESPN 6. Prior to his UFC debut, the welterweight mainly competed in Shamrock Fighting Championships and left the company undefeated. Woodson’s professional record currently stands at 7 wins and 0 losses.
Erosa is also an alumni from Dana White’s Contender Series; however, the welterweight has failed to get any wins in his UFC career thus far as he been beaten by Devonte Smith (via KO at UFC Fight Night 139), Grant Dawson (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 146), and Julio Arce (via KO at UFC Fight Night 152). Despite his winless record so far, Erosa made a name for himself in Global Knockout and CageSport MMA. His professional record currently stands at 22 wins and 8 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with the lightweights headlining. The placement of the welterweight bout is currently unknown.
