A welterweight bout has been added to UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden.

It’s been confirmed that Stephen Thompson will step into the octagon to fight Vincente Luque in New York City.

Thompson is looking to bounce back after suffering defeats from Anthony Pettis – via TKO at UFC Nashville - and Darren Till at UFC Liverpool in May 2018. The 36-year-old’s professional mixed martial arts record currently stands at 14 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw.

Luque however has been on an impressive six-fight winning streak. The New Jersey native is coming off his fight against Mike Perry with a decision victory at UFC Uruguay. The welterweight hasn’t lost a bout since March 2017, where he suffered defeat at the hands of Leon Edwards. Vincente Luque’s professional record currently stands at 17 wins, 6 losses, and 1 draw.

UFC 244 will take place on Nov. 2 inside Madison Square Garden. Check out the advertised line-up for the big event in New York:
