Luis Pena officially has an opponent for UFC Fight Night Norfolk.

Yesterday, it was confirmed by MMA Junkie that Alex Munoz was off the fight night event, leaving his opponent without a fight this weekend. However, it’s now been confirmed that Steve Garcia will step in and take on Pena this Saturday.

Pena is coming into the bout in need of some momentum, as the 26-year-old lost to Matt Frevola at UFC Fight Night Tampa. Prior to his defeat, the lightweight was on a solid two-fight winning streak, besting Matt Wiman and Steven Peterson. Pena’s professional record currently stands at 7 wins and 2 losses.

Steve Garcia will be making his UFC debut here, as the lightweight was discovered through Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series by getting a TKO win over Desmond Torres. Prior to the UFC, the New Mexico native fought in Bellator MMA and Triple A MMA. Garcia’s professional record currently stands at 11 wins and 3 losses.
