While the main event of UFC Fight Night 159 didn't quite live up to expectations, fans were at least treated to one of the best knockouts this year earlier in the evening.

The featherweight matchup between Steven Peterson and Martin Bravo ended in spectacular fashion. Both fighters attempted spinning backfists, but Bravo's just missed, leaving him open. Peterson immediately threw his own spinning backfist and connected with the Bravo's jaw, immediately sending him to the canvas. Clearly incapacitated, Peterson landed powerful hammerfist before referee Herb Dean was able to call the fight.

Check out what is quite possibly the best knockout this year.

This was just the seventh knockout by spinning backfist in UFC history. Peterson joins Shonie Carter, John Makdessi, Paul Felder, Douglas Silva de Andrade, Aleksandar Rakic, and Johnny Walker as the only fighters to have accomplished the feat.

Peterson said afterwards that he hopes to fight one more time before the end of the year. His win over Bravo snapped a two-fight losing streak.
