Tatsuro Taira is back!
The flyweight reminded fans why they saw him as a future UFC Champion by getting a strong win over Hyun Sung Park. All it took was a pair of two right hands for Taira to get the better of Park in the first round, with the final minutes of the 25-year-old using ground and pound to dominate Park.
It didn’t take Taira long to get Park back on the ground in the second round. Park lasted 1:06 before he tapped to a face crank that put Taira back in the win column. Taira’s win record is now 17 wins and 1 loss. Whereas Park suffered his first MMA loss as he’s now at 10 wins and 1 loss.
In the co-main event, Chris Duncan and Mateusz Rebecki had one hell of a bloody fight that ended up being one of the two bouts to grab Fight of the Night honors.
Duncan managed to get more strikes throughout the three round fight, though Rebecki got his fair share of hits that made this such a nail biting slobberknocker. Duncan ultimately won via unanimous decision and got the fifth win of his UFC career. Rebecki gets a second loss within his last three fights.
