Can Tatsuro Taira end Hyun Sung Park’s undefeated streak?
For seven years Taira was undefeated as the flyweight slowly built his name that resulted in 16 wins and 0 losses. However, when Taira fought his toughest opponent to date, Brandon Royval, he came up short with a split decision loss. Now, Taira has a chance to rebound from his recent loss by eliminating another fighter who’s undefeated in the flyweight division. Despite his recent setback, Taira won the last four out of his six fights by TKO and submission. His professional record currently stands at 16 wins and 1 loss.
Park made his UFC debut in 2022 and quickly impressed with a win over Jeremia Siregar by TKO in the first round. Since then, the UFC newcomer has continued to win in exciting ways as Park has only won by submission or TKO. His bouts against Taira is his biggest fight to date. His professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 1 loss.
In the co-main event, Chris Duncan is hoping to expand his two-fight winning streak. The lightweight has only lost one bout since making his debut on Dana White’s Contender series. Duncan’s professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 2 losses.
His opponent is also looking to continue building momentum as Mateusz Rebecki scored a split decision win over Myktybek Orolbai at UFC 308. Rebecki is also from Dana White’s contender series and has only suffered one loss in the UFC thus far. The lightweight’s professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 2 losses.
