In one of the classic light heavyweight fights in UFC history, Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar is finally available for free.
15 years ago, both fighters entered the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, with Griffin and Bonnar making it to the finals. While the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion would walk out victorious, both men would go on to achieve big things within the promotion.
For Griffin, it didn’t take long for him to win the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship as the Ohio native defeated Hector Ramirez (UFC 72) and Maurício Rua (UFC 76) to get the opportunity to fight Quinton Jackson at UFC 86. The two men would go on to have an incredible bout that saw Griffin become the new champ via unanimous decision.
Though Griffin dropped the belt in his first title defense, the 40-year-old would continue to deliver thrilling fights against names such as Tito Ortiz (UFC 106 and 148) and Rich Franklin before hanging up the gloves for good.
As for Stephan Bonnar, though he never won the UFC Light Heavyweight title, the Indiana native would consistently deliver inside the octagon as his fights against Krzysztof Soszynski, Anderson Silva, and Mark Coleman were highly regarded. The 42-year-old would eventually retire after his fight against Tito Ortiz at Bellator 131 in 2014.
