One of the greatest lightweight bouts in the UFC is now available for free.
That is when Diego Sanchez took on Clay Guida at The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom Finale back in 2009. Since suffering back-to-back losses to Josh Koscheck (via unanimous decision at UFC 69) and Jon Fitch (via split decision at UFC 76), Diego Sanchez stepped up his game inside of the octagon and rebounded with strong wins over David Bielkheden (via submission at UFC 82) , Luigi Fioravanti (via TKO at The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest Finale), and Joe Stevenson (via unanimous decision at UFC 95) before meeting Guida.
Guida was on a nice winning streak himself as the lightweight was coming off victories against Samy Schiavo (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 13), Mac Danzig (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 15), and Nate Diaz (via split decision at UFC 94).
Both men were coming into the contest hot and managed to over deliver in their action packed three-round fight. Easily considered fight of the night, the unforgettable clash was also inducted into the fight wing of the UFC Hall of Fame back in 2019, joining the likes of Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson and Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar.
