It seemed like all was a go between Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg for UFC 219 on December 30. Both competitors wanted the fight and MMA fans wanted to see the two most popular female fighters square off in the octagon. However, according to Holm's agent, the fight appears to be "dead" as of this moment.

“Holly was anxiously awaiting the Dec. 30 fight with Cyborg,” Fresquez said, “and had been training for it. But we could not come to financial terms for this featherweight title bout in December. We look forward to meeting her under the right circumstances.”

Reports say that Cyborg is still hopeful that she'll remain on the card, but another opponent has yet to be announced at this time. The current women's featherweight champion just won the title in July by defeating Tonya Evinger at UFC 214. Holm was on a losing streak after dropping the title to Miesha tate back at UFC 196, but has bounced back with her recent win against Bethe Correia via knockout.

While it's not out of the question that the fight won't happen in the near future, it seems like the circumstances at the moment will not allow these two to meet at UFC 219. Hopefully that changes and we'll keep you updated if it does.
