Let’s hope that the third time will be the charm.
Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira are rescheduled to fight on Nov. 7, according to MMA Fighting and ESPN. The bout hasn’t been made official just yet, but talks are currently heavy for the match-up. Originally, both men were set to square off on Set. 19 and Oct. 3; however, the coronavirus forced the bout to be scrapped twice.
Santos will be entering the fight for the first time since his loss to Jon Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Glover Teixeira is coming off a dominant performance over Anthony Smith at UFC Fight Night 171. The veteran is currently in the midst of a four-fight winning streak.
The light heavyweight match-up is expected to determine the next challenger for the 205-pound belt. The show will be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, with Diego Ferreira vs. Drew Dober and Claudia Gadelha vs. Xioanan Yan also confirmed for the upcoming fight night event.
