A new lightweight match-up has been confirmed for the Las Vegas, Nevada event on Sept. 5 as Thiago Moises will take on Jalin Turner at the fight night show that features Alistair Overeem vs. Augusto Sakai as the main event.
Thiago Moises is coming off a submission win over Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night 171. The lightweight was first discovered on Dana White’s Contender Series, with Moises only winning two bouts in his UFC tenure thus far. Still, the lightweight has a solid record overall as Moises beat top names during his time in Legacy Fighting Alliance, Resurrection Fighting Alliance, and Atlas Fights. His professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 4 losses.
Turner has a bit of momentum on his side as the lightweight recently dropped Joshua Culibao at UFC Fight Night 168. The 25-year-old has managed to win three out of his last five fights, also beating Max Mustaki (via TKO at Dana White's Contender Series 12) and Callan Potter (via TKO at UFC 234). Turner’s professional record currently stands at 9 wins and 5 losses.
