Three championship fights headline UFC 259.
In the main event, Jan Blachowicz’s (27–8) first title defense comes against UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya (20–0). The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion enters on an impressive four-fight winning streak; however, Adesanya comes in hot with an undefeated record.
In the co-main event, Amanda Nunes (20–4) will defend the UFC Women’s Featherweight title against Megan Anderson (11–4). The Brazilian fighter hasn’t lost a bout since 2014, with Nunes’ notable wins being over Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, and Cris Cyborg.
Anderson is coming in strong with a two-fight winning streak, and the challenger is no stranger to holding gold as Anderson is a former Invicta FC Featherweight champion.
Last but not least, Petr Yan (15–1) is set to fight Aljamin Sterling (19–3) for the prestigious UFC Bantamweight title. Yan remains undefeated within the UFC and is currently in the midst of a 10-fight winning streak. Sterling also comes into the fight strong as the bantamweight is in the middle of a five-fight winning streak.
