This past weekend featured two huge championship matches at UFC 247, as Jon Jones barely beat out Dominick Reyes to retain the Light Heavyweight title and Valentina Shevchenko successfully defended the Women’s Flyweight Championship against Katlyn Chookagian.
However, that wasn’t the only big news to come out of the UFC over the weekend, as
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN spoke to Dana White and the UFC President confirmed a slew of huge fights for several upcoming pay-per-views.
Brian Ortega vs. Zabit Magomedsharipov for UFC 249, UFC Bantamweight Championship fight between Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo at UFC 250, UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski will take on Max Holloway at UFC 251 and Jorge Masvidal will challenge UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 252.
The three championship fights have been previously rumored for some time with the UFC Bantamweight bout being essentially confirmed by Cejudo, Aldo, and White himself. Locations for UFC 251 and UFC 252 are still unknown currently.
