Two bouts have been added to the ever-growing UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns card as Brandon Royval vs. Tim Elliot (flyweight) and Casey Kenney vs. Louis Smolka (bantamweight) joins the special event on May 30.
Royval will be making his UFC debut in the midst of a two-fight winning streak. The flyweight has previously competed in Legacy Fighting Alliance, Combate Americas, and Kick Down MMA. Royval’s professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 4 losses.
Tim Elliot is looking to rebound after suffering two consecutive losses to Deiveson Figueiredo (via submission at UFC Fight Night 161) and Askar Askarov (via unanimous decision at UFC 246). The MMA veteran hasn't had a win in three years and his professional record currently stands 15 wins, 10 losses, and 1 no contest.
Since making his debut last year, Kenney has managed to score big victories over Ray Borg (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 2) and Manny Bermudez (via unanimous decision at UFC 241); however, his recent loss to Merab Dvalishvili has sent him back in the rankings a bit. Kenney’s professional record currently stands at 13 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no contest.
Smolka is coming off a nice TKO win over Ryan MacDonald at UFC Fight Night 158. Despite his setback against Matt Schnell at UFC Fight Night 146, the bantamweight has managed to win four out of his last five fights. Smolka’s professional record currently stands at 16 wins and 6 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns takes place on Saturday, May 30 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns headlining.
