Alex Pereira has a shot at redemption.

The 38-year-old was on the biggest run of his UFC career after his shocking win over Jiří Procházka at UFC 295. Pereira went on to successfully defend the UFC Light Heavyweight title against Jamahal Hill (by KO at UFC 300), Khalil Rountree Jr. (by TKO UFC 307), and Prochazka (by TKO at UFC 303) again.

Peireira came into UFC 313 strong, but Magomed Ankalaev gave him the toughest fight of his career. But that can change on Saturday as Peireira has been training his ass off since his loss. Though he’s coming in off of a loss, he’s managed to win five out of his last six fights. Pereira’s professional record stands at 12 wins and 3 losses.

Peireira will be facing an uphill battle since he’ll be fighting a man who hasn’t lost a bout since 2018. Magomed comes in with a strong 12 fighting winning streak, with some of those victories coming over Johnny Walker, Aleksandar Rakić, and Thiago Santos. The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion enters with a record of 20 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw.

The UFC Bantamweight title will be defended in the co-main event as Merab Dvalishvili will defend his belt for the third time against Cory Sandhagen. Dvalishvili is fresh off impressive wins over Umar Nurmagomedov and Sean O’Malley; the UFC Bantamweight Champion also hasn’t lost a fight since 2018. Dvalishvili’s professional record stands at 20 wins and 4 losses.

Cory Sandhagen is coming off an amazing performance over Deiveson Figueiredo and has beaten two former champions throughout his UFC run. This is the first time that Sandhagen has officially fought for the UFC Bantamweight title and his professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 5 losses.
