The Two-division Cage Warriors Champion is finally in the UFC.
Last month, Jones made headlines in the MMA world by defeating Adam Proctor to become the new Cage Warriors Welterweight Champion. Going in, the 25-year-old was already holding gold as Jones won the prestigious lightweight title back at Cage Warriors 113.
Following his big championship win, Jones told Dana White and matchmaker Sean Selby to get the biggest, deadliest lightweight monster you can find and he promised to dismantle them:
Dana White and UFC officials were clearly impressed with the rising prospect as Mason Jones himself confirmed that he’s signed a four-fight deal with the promotion:
Thus far, the two-division Cage Warriors champion is currently undefeated. Jones has been fighting for three years now and the lightweight has managed to drop ten of the top athletes who’s stepped inside of the octagon against him. Out of his ten fights, Jones has ended seven of those bouts by submission or TKO. As of this writing, there’s no word on when Jones will make his UFC debut.
