So, Tyron Woodley vs. Israel Adesanya next?

It appears that the former UFC Welterweight Champion has moved on past Colby Covington as Woodley revealed on his social media that he would like to fight reigning UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya.

The 38-year-old stated that the 185-pound Champion was “scared of guys with power” and once word got to Adesanya about Woodley’s comments, the UFC Middleweight Champion simply treated Woodley’s callout as a joke:

Woodley doubled down on his statement from earlier and also labeled Adesanya as an overhyped fighter:

Adesanya didn’t back down from the former UFC Welterweight Champion and even commended him on his attempt to stir the pot; however, the 30-year-old doesn’t believe that Woodley has a chance against him:

At the moment, both Woodley and Adesanya don’t have any upcoming opponents. The former Welterweight Champion was supposed to fight Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night London; however, the show was scrapped due to the coronavirus. Adesanya is coming off a win over Yoel Romero at UFC 248.
