UFC 238: Valentina Shevchenko Defends Flyweight Title With Vicious Head Kick KO Over Jessica Eye

Valentina Shevchenko defended her flyweight title in spectacular fashion on Saturday at UFC 238. The champion looked calm, composed, and calculated in her approach against Jessica Eye.

Shevchenko was in control for the entire fight, landing multiple body kicks early on before successfully scoring two takedowns. It looked like things would end early, but Eye managed to narrowly escape a submission attempt, saved by the end of the round.

It was only delaying the inevitable though. Expecting another body blow, Eye lowered her hands in an attempt to block a powerful Shevchenko kick. Except this time Shevchenko went high and connect with a monster head kick that knocked Eye out cold. It was easily one of the most vicious knockouts we've seen this year as Eye was unresponsive on the mat for a lengthy period after the kick. Thankfully, she eventually responded.

Despite the impressive win, Shevchenko was incredibly humble after the fight, thanking Eye for the fight and fans for the support. After another impressive victory, is there anyone in the women's flyweight division who can stop Shevchenko?
