The opening middleweight bout for the UFC 240 main card was a difficult one to judge — as evidenced by the judges' split decision. But in the end, someone has to come out victorious. And that someone was Krzysztof Jotko, who earned a split decision victory over opponent Marc-Andre Barriault.
The middleweight bout was a scrappy one, but there were really no big, memorable moments. Jotko neutralized Barriault's striking game with multiple takedown attempts, but most ended in a clinch up against the cage.
In the end, it was Jotko who earned the split decision victory (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
Jotko (21-4) has now won two-straight following a three fight losing streak.
