Tony Ferguson versus Khabib Nurmagomedov; a title fight long in the making will finally go down on April 18 at UFC 249. Barring any setbacks, the two fighters will meet in the Octagon at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and compete for the UFC world lightweight championship.

Although we're still weeks away from the highly anticipated fight, the UFC has released a promotional hype video. Interestingly, the video calls Tony Ferguson the toughest opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov has faced yet. It's a bold claim considering Khabib's last two title defenses came against Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor, respectively.

Of course, Ferguson is a formidable opponent, holding an all-time record of 15-1 in the Octagon. He's also on a 12-fight win streak, which is the most consecutive wins in UFC lightweight history.

Nurmagomedov versus Ferguson should prove to be an exciting fight. It headlines a pay-per-view card that also features a middlweights Uriah Hall and Ronaldo Souza as well as a highly anticipated rematch between strawweights Jessica Andrade and Rose Namajunas. UFC 249 tickets are now on sale.
