Two top heavyweights will battle for a chance to get closer to the title picture.
Since dropping the UFC Heavyweight title back in 2012, Junior dos Santos has been looking to win back the prestigious belt and while he did challenge Stipe Miocic at UFC 211, the Brazilian hasn’t been able to recapture the success that got him the championship back in 2011.
Coming in, dos Santos knows he needs to get a win as the No. 5 ranked fighter’s chances at get another opportunity at the 235-pound belt are slipping away with each loss that he takes.
At UFC 249, Jairzinho Rozenstruik’s 10-fight winning streak was snapped by Francis Ngannou via knockout. The heavyweight’s major setback has halted any momentum he had going into the big match-up as many deemed him ready for a heavyweight title bout before his loss to Ngannou.
This should be an interesting heavyweight match-up that will surely shake up the top 5 rankings once it’s all said and done. Check out the training regime for both fighters heading into their bout this Saturday:
