The rising prospect will step into the octagon against a veteran who has more submission and TKO wins on his record than his previous two opponents.
For Vera, the UFC star is looking to finally put an end to the hype of Sean O’Malley, along with getting back into the win column after a controversial loss to Song Yadong. That crushing defeat snapped a five-fight winning streak and removed him from the top 15 rankings. With Sean O’Malley occupying the No. 14 spot, the bantamweight would love to be the first man to take down what many deem the future of bantamweight division.
