Who will walk out of UFC 253 as the new Light Heavyweight Champion?
With Jon Jones officially vacating the prestigious 205-pound belt in the summer, the two top contenders in the division will fight to become the new Light Heavyweight Champion.
Going into UFC 247, Dominick Reyes had all the momentum on his side as the veteran was on a strong 12-fight winning streak that saw him beat top contenders Chris Weidman, Volkan Oezdemir, and Ovince Saint Preux.
Reyes actually pulled off a performance that saw the 30-year-old edge out Jones on multiple occasions; however, despite many feeling that Reyes beat Jon Jones, the judges felt opposite and awarded Jones with the victory. The light heavyweight is surely looking to gain his rightful spot at the top of the mountain on Sept. 26.
On the other hand, Jan Blachowicz is entering the fight on the strength of his TKO wins over Corey Anderson and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Luke Rockhold. The former KSW Light Heavyweight Champion will be hoping to add another title to his resume this Saturday.
The five-round co-main event is sure to be a thrilling clash between Reyes and Blachowicz. Check out the training regime that both fighters have gone through in order to prepare for their big title match this weekend.
