This Saturday, two big title matches headline a stacked UFC 255 pay-per-view.
In the main event, Deiveson Figueiredo will defend the UFC Flyweight Championship for the first time against Alex Perez. Coming in, the 125-pound champion is currently in the midst of a four-fight winning streak thanks to his wins over Alexandre Pantoja, Tim Elliott, and Joseph Benavidez.
However, Perez is on a solid winning streak himself, with the fighter coming off two TKO victories over Jordan Espinosa and Jussier Formiga. This will be Perez’s first title fight in the UFC, with the 28-year-old entering with a record of 24 wins and 5 losses.
In the co-main event, Valentia Shevchenko will defend the women’s flyweight belt for the fifth time in her career against Jennifer Maia. Shevchenko has yet to lose a flyweight bout since her return to the division in 2018, with notable wins over Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Jessica Eye, and most recently, Katlyn Chookagian.
Maia is coming off a strong win over former contender Joanne Calderwood at UFC Fight Night 173. Maia has only suffered two losses in her UFC career thus far and her wins over Alexis Davis and Roxanne Modafferi have made the division take notice. The 32-year-old is a former Invicta FC Flyweight Champion.
