A big Championship bout will headline UFC 258.
For the first time ever, Kamaru Usman will defend the UFC Welterweight title against a white-hot Gilbert Burns. Coming in, Usman is on a strong 16-fight winning streak with some of those victories coming over former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos (The Ultimate Fighter: Heavy Hitters Finale), former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley (UFC 235), former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington (UFC 245), and most recently, Jorge Masvidal (UFC 251). His current record stands at 17 wins and 1 loss.
On the other hand, Burns has been a force to be reckoned with in the 170-pound division thanks to his performance making wins against Demian Maia (UFC Fight Night 170) and Tyron Woodley (UFC on ESPN 9). In total, Burns has six wins in a row and is undefeated as a welterweight fighter. His current record stands at 19 wins and 3 losses.
