Pedro Munhoz is not happy with the decision made last weekend.
In the main event of UFC Vegas 7, the bantamweight fought Frankie Edgar in a five-round war that ultimately saw the former UFC Lightweight Champion squeeze out a victory via split decision. Many feel that the fight could’ve gone either way, but to Munhoz, his match-up against Edgar should’ve resulted in a win.
On social media, the top ranked bantamweight aired his grievances over the result and demanded that he receives a rematch against the 38-year-old:
Thus far, White hasn’t responded to Munhoz’s request. Edgar officially bumped the bantamweight from the No. 5 spot in the division and could likely end up fighting Marlon Moraes, Cory Sandhagen, or Aljamain Sterling.
As for Munhoz, the 33-year-old is currently riding a two-fight losing streak, though he’s still in the top 10 in the division rankings. If a rematch is shot down by Edgar and White, then the Brazilian still has plenty of opportunities to reach the No. 1 spot of the division.
