If no secret that there's a fierce rivalry between Rhonda Rousey and Cris Cyborg, and a fight between the two seemed imminent until Rousey was defeated by Holm. Since then, Cyborg has become Featherweight champion and Rousey's return to the octagon seems questionable at the moment. However, Cyborg will defend her Featherweight championship against the first woman who defeated Rhonda Rousey on December 30.
Cris discusses her opponent at UFC 219 on the MMA Hour:
"I think when I fight with Holly and beat Holly, I’m gonna beat Ronda at the same time. Everybody that follows my career knows how much I did for this fight to happen, and didn’t happen. I think if I beat Holly I’m gonna beat Ronda the same day. I feel like that because Holly fought Ronda, and when this fight happened, Dana (White) said if Ronda beat Holly, (her) next fight would be Cyborg, and then Holly stopped Ronda before. Just people think about, simple."
Cyborg goes on to discuss why she won't call herself the greatest female of all time, whether she thinks her fight with Holm will be great, and her thoughts on resigning with the UFC. Check out the interview below.
