UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway is confirmed to take on Tony Ferguson for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight title at UFC 236, according to

The current UFC Featherweight Champion enters the contest on a thirteen-fight winning streak and hasn’t dealt with a lost in over five years. His recent win was over Brian Ortega on December 8
th at UFC 231 via knockout. Holloway’s professional MMA record is 20 wins and 3 losses.
Tony Ferguson has had to deal with some setbacks that stripped him of the interim Lightweight title. He returned to the octagon back at UFC 229 where he added another victory to his resume by defeating Anthony Pettis via knockout. Ferguson is on an eleven-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost a bout since 2012 against Michael Johnson. Ferguson’s professional MMA record currently stands at 24 wins and 3 losses.
UFC 236 takes place on Saturday, April 13 from a location to be announced. The main event has yet to be confirmed for the show.
