Steve Garcia and David Onama are set to headline UFC Vegas 110.
Steve Garcia is coming off the biggest win of his career as the UFC featherweight beat veteran Calvin Kattar back in July. That only added to his six-fight winning streak, with Garcia notably getting incredible KO wins over Shayilan Nuerdanbieke (UFC 287), Melquizael Costa (UFC Fight Night: Song vs. Gutiérrez), and Kyle Nelson (UFC Fight Night: Burns vs. Brady). Steve is currently ranked at number twelve within the featherweight division. His professional record stands at 18 wins and 5 loses.
His opponent, David Onama, comes in with some impressive stats as well as the UFC featherweight is currently in the middle of a four fight winning streak. Obama is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Giga Chikadze. His impressive wins over Gabriel Santos (via KO at UFC on ABC: Emmett vs. Topuria), Jonathan Pearce (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN: Nicolau vs. Perez), and Roberto Romero (via unanimous decision at UFC 309) helped put him into the top 15 rankings above veterans Dan Ige and Giga Chikadaze.
Obama has managed to get two knockout wins in his UFC career thus far and is currently ranked at number thirteen within the division. Should he win this bout then he’ll be on a five fight winning streak, which would be the longest in his UFC career thus far. Obama’s professional professional record is currently 14 wins and 2 losses.
The new main event of UFC Vegas 110 joins a heavyweight bout between Ante Delija and Waldo Cortes-Acosta. Plus, Ketlen Vieira vs. Norma Dumont in a women’s bantamweight fight. The full card has been made just yet, but the main card appears to be official. Of course, changes can happen in the coming weeks.
