Angela Hill may not have scored the knockout, but she left no doubt as to who was the better fight in the Octagon on Saturday night. Facing Hannah Cifers at UFC Fight Night 166, Hill silenced the Raleigh crowd with her brutal pulverizing of the hometown favorite.
After fighting through a close first round, Hill turned up the heat in the second. From the Thai clinch, Hill threw Cifers to the canvas and assumed a mounted position where she unleashed a barrage of vicious elbows and strikes that left Cifers bloodied and bruised.
Cifers did try and get out of the position, but with Hill's legs locked in place under her armpits, all she could do was try and cover up. Barely able to defend herself from the onslaught, referee Kevin MacDonald stopped the bout at 4:26 in round two.
Hill moved to 11-7. It was her second consecutive win in the UFC after beating Ariane Carnelossi back in September 2019. Cifers fell to 10-4.
