A big flyweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night event on Sept. 26 as Kai Kara-France and Brandon Royval will fight at the upcoming show.
Kai Kara-France is fresh off a victory over Tyson Nam at UFC Fight Night 168. While the flyweight suffered a setback against Brandon Moreno at UFC 245, Kara-France has still won four out of his last five fights, also beating Elias Garcia (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 142), Raulian Paiva (via split decision at UFC 234), and Mark De La Rosa (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 157). His professional record currently stands at 21 wins and 8 losses.
Brandon Royval is entering the contest on a solid three-fight winning streak, with his latest victory coming over Tim Elliot via submission. Prior to his UFC debut, Royval made a name for himself in Legacy Fighting Alliance, Combate Americas, and Sparta Combat League. Royval’s professional record currently stands at 11 wins and 4 losses.
The UFC Fight Night event on Sept. 16 also includes a strawweight bout between Claudia Gadelha and Yan Xiaonan, along with Randy Costa vs. Journey Newson. The placement of the flyweight fight is unknown at the moment.
