The UFC continues filling 2018 with new events and the latest to be confirmed is UFC 225 in Chicago on June 9th. Now, you'll no doubt be well aware that that's the hometown of CM Punk and while his MMA debut in September 2016 was an unmitigated disaster, he wants another fight and Dana White revealed last month that he's willing to give the former WWE Superstar another shot.

Punk appears to be teasing a return to the Octagon as well because he Retweeted UFC's announcement and it would make sense for him to fight in his hometown as that would be a huge draw.

Whether or not he'll square off with an inexperienced opponent so he has some chance of winning or a bigger name remains to be seen. There has been speculation that we'll see Floyd Mayweather compete in the Octagon so he can have a rematch with Conor McGregor and feeding him Punk might make sense. What do you guys think?
