The question on Brock Lesnar’s status once WrestleMania 35 commences continues; There’s no doubt that the WWE Universal champion will play both sides to see who will offer a better deal; however, it appears UFC is planning ahead for a Cormier/Lesnar fight in August, which will be for the UFC Heavyweight title.

The report comes from ESPN's Ariel Helwani, as he stated that Lesnar is indeed interested in returning to the octagon and that the UFC is looking to make the fight in August. Helwani makes it clear that nothing has been signed just yet, but those are the plans at the moment.

Lesnar and Cormier were originally rumored to fight for the UFC Heavyweight title back in January; however, the current Universal champion re-signed a new deal with WWE thus squashing the match-up in the process.
