Conor McGregor has fired back after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s dominant win against Barboza to close out 2017.

McGregor, the current UFC lightweight champion, posted a series of tweets early Monday indicating that he was unimpressed by Nurmagomedov’s performance. McGregor blasted Nurmagomedov’s “sloppy” win and hinted at his own eventual return to the Octagon, stating that all the UFC needed to do was pay him what he deserved.

However, Nurmagomedov was quick to respond that morning.
Nurmagomedov (25-0) was largely dismissive of the lightweight champ after his win Saturday night, voicing doubt that “The Notorious” would return to MMA until the money that the Irishman made from his blockbuster boxing contest against Floyd Mayweather ran dry.
