Recently, Anderson Silva’s title defense against Dan Henderson was uploaded and now, Silva vs. Chael Sonnen.
Following the Brazilian's success over Henderson, Silva went on to defeat five challengers for the middleweight title, James Irvin (via knockout at UFC Fight Night 14), Patrick Côté (via TKO at UFC 90), Thales Leites (via unanimous decision at UFC 97), Forrest Griffin (via knockout at UFC 101), and Demian Maia (via unanimous decision at UFC 112), before meeting Chael Sonnen at UFC 117.
Sonnen was riding a three-fight winning streak, previously beating Dan Miller (via unanimous decision at UFC 98), Yushin Okami (via unanimous decision at UFC 104), and Nate Marquardt (via unanimous decision at UFC 109) to earn a crack at the championship. Sonnen was previously the WEC Middleweight Champion before his UFC debut in 2008.
The championship fight was another five-round gem between Sonnen and Silva, who got the best of the Oregon native with a triangle armbar submission in the fifth round. Check out the excellent encounter between the two middleweights below:
