MMA Fighting has confirmed that the UFC has released David Branch from the promotion.
The fighter was in the midst of a two-year suspension from USADA after testing positive for Ipamorelin back on May 24, 2019. He won’t be eligible to fight again until July 26, 2021.
Branch’s last fight in the UFC was a loss to Jack Hermansson back on March 30, 2019 at UFC Philadelphia. The North Carolina native was on a two-fight losing streak, as he was also defeated by Jared Cannonier at UFC 230. As of this writing, neither Branch or the UFC have commented on the departure. Despite his string of losses before his UFC exit, Branch still holds a solid record of 22 wins and 6 losses.
