A new flyweight is set to make his way to the UFC as Zhalgas Zhumagulov signed a contract with the promotion. The overall details of his contract are currently unknown.
Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA was the first to report the news.
Zhumagulov has been making waves in the sport of mixed martial arts, with the fighter currently on a solid four-fight winning streak. The flyweight has gotten impressive victories over Ali Bagautinov, Tagir Ulanbekov, Tyson Nam, and Shaj Haque.
The Kazakhstan native previously competed under Fight Nights Global, Kunlun Fight, Alash Pride, and Zhekpe Zhek. The flyweight hasn’t lost a bout since 2017, which was against Vartan Asatryan at Fight Nights Global 65. His professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 3 losses.
Reportedly, Zhumagulov will take on Jordan Espinosa at UFC Kazakhstan; however, the promotion has yet to confirm the flyweight match.
