In his first fight in over a year, Makwan Amirkhani earned an impressive victory over Chris Fishgold at UFC Fight Night 153 in Stockholm on Saturday. The exciting co-main event ended with just 30 seconds left in the second round when after a back-and-forth on the mat resulted in "Mr. Finland" locking in an anaconda choke on Fishgold.

There were some interesting moments early on, which included a failed flying knee kick, an eye poke by Amirkhani, an impressive reactive takedown from Amirkhani, and a failed attempt at multiple submission attempts from Fishgold. The second round also included some back-and-forth trades, including a painful-looking kick that caught Fishgold right in the nuggets. He recovered though, only to find himself on the receiving end of an anaconda choke towards the end of the second round.

Check out some of the highlights from Amirkhani vs. Fishgold at UFC Fight Night 153.

With the win, Amirkhani improved his UFC record to 5-1. This was his second-straight win, with his last coming against Jason Knight over a year ago in May.

“I’m ready to fight anybody from my division,” Amirkhani said after the fight. “Mr. Finland is ready. When you’re in Finland and you ask who is Makwan, they know. Now is the time to know about Mr. Finland, about Makwan Amirkhani. I’m here, this is my time.”
